J Carter Witt III, President,
graduated from University of Southern California in 1978 with a
Bachelor of Science Degree. He co-founded Silverwing Development
in 1988 and since that time has overseen and coordination all
operating units of the company—which have produced over
2,100 acres of entitled land and site development including over
2,600 detached and attached homes, a 2,000 unit master plan and
320 acres business park which were successfully entitled,
fully-developed and sold out and close to 1,000 multi-family units
(covering over 65 distinct developments and acquisitions in
California, Nevada and Texas). Silverwing has also provided
critical work out consulting for companies such as Bank of
America, Mechanics Bank and VEF.
Prior to his involvement with
Silverwing Development, Mr. Witt was Vice President of the Real
Estate Investment Banking Group at E.F. Hutton in San Francisco.
At E.F. Hutton, Mr. Witt was responsible for the acquisition,
financing, syndication and management of a $750 million portfolio
of commercial real estate. Prior to his tenure with E.F. Hutton,
he was employed by Bank of America in its Investment Real Estate
Department where he acquired and assisted in the development of
office buildings, shopping centers and industrial properties for
off-shore clients and pension fund accounts.
Mr. Witt is a past member of the
National Policy Council of the Urban Land Institute. He is an
Eagle Scout that currently acts as the V.P. of Capital Projects at
Mt. Diablo Silverado Council and is a recipient of the Silver
Beaver Award for Boy Scouts of America. Mr. Witt has co-chaired a
number of charitable and political fund-raising events, such as
Make-A-Wish and Children's Hospital throughout the Bay Area. He
holds a State of California and Nevada Real Estate Broker’s
license, as well as General Contractor licenses in both California
and Nevada.
