Since its inception in 1986, Silverwing Development has been
active in residential, commercial and land development projects in
California, Nevada and Texas. Its principals have developed,
managed, and sold properties – including Class A office buildings,
shopping centers, multi-family projects as well as attached and
detached single-family homes – in 11 states throughout the nation.
Silverwing Development has completed development and/or
construction of over 4,200 homes since 1990 with a retail value in
excess of $590,000,000.
Managing Difficult Times
Silverwing principals anticipated the residential downturn when
in 2005 when home buyers began receiving financing with low credit
scores, minimal documentation, and historically high loan-to-value
ratios. Silverwing sold 90% of its land assets before 2007,
retaining ownership of only those projects entering a completion
phase. Silverwing through aggressive hands on management did
reduce debt without ever defaulting on any financial obligation
which allowed it to maintain normal operations throughout this
difficult period.
To date, through two major credit crises over the
last 25 years, Silverwing Development has never defaulted on any
financial obligation.
While Silverwing is currently selling homes in the last
residential for sale projects in Reno, Nevada, most of its current
operations have been refocused on the acquisition of value added
multi-family communities.
